Terms of Use
1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of the Life in the UK Test 2026 app (the "app"), published by Horizon Lab Studios ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. The terms of the App Store or Google Play also apply to your download and any purchase.
2. A study aid
The app is a study aid to help you prepare for the Life in the UK Test. The questions, explanations and study notes are original material written by us from the official handbook, Life in the United Kingdom: A Guide for New Residents. They are not real test questions. We recommend you read the official handbook as well.
3. No guarantee of passing
Practice scores and pass marks shown in the app are for guidance only. We cannot guarantee that you will pass the real test, and the real test may include questions on topics or in wording different from the app.
4. Accuracy
We work hard to keep the content accurate and up to date, and we update it over the internet when we find mistakes. However, the content may contain errors or become out of date, for example if the handbook or test rules change. Where the app and official sources differ, the official sources are correct. You can tell us about a problem with a question using "Report this question" or by email.
5. Purchases
- The app is free to download and shows ads.
- Premium is an optional one-off purchase made through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment, billing and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms; we cannot issue refunds ourselves.
- Premium removes video ads and full-screen ads. Banner and native ads are still shown.
- You can restore Premium on another device signed in to the same store account using "Restore purchases".
- Prices are shown in the app and the store before you buy.
- Premium is digital content supplied immediately. By buying it you agree to immediate supply and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This does not affect your rights if Premium is faulty.
6. Using the app
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app for your own study. Please do not copy, scrape, resell or republish the questions or study notes, or try to interfere with the app, its ads or its purchase checks. All content in the app is owned by us or our licensors.
7. Availability
The app works offline for most features. We may change, suspend or stop features, and we do not promise that the app will always be available or free of bugs.
8. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Subject to that, we are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable. Please check important facts in the official handbook. If wrong content in the app causes you a loss, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for Premium, except where the law does not allow this.
9. Privacy
How we handle data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes and law
We may update these terms and will change the effective date when we do. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring claims in the courts of your home nation.
